Moreno De Pauw started the 79th Six Days of Ghent with teammate Michele Scartezzini. Dutchman Roy Pieters is back from ilness en will reunite with Jonas Rickaert
De Pauw lost his teammate Gerben Thijssen on the opening night after a though crash. He was coupled with Rickaert, whose buddy Pieters was out because of illness. Friday, Pieters was fit to race again.
De Pauw, who holds the track record at ‘t Kuipke, brought a lot of fans to the cycling temple of Ghent. Moreno finishes his career at the end of this season and would love to showboat his talent one more time during the three last days at the Six Days of Ghent.
