From Tuesday 14 to Sunday 19 November, ‘t Kuipke in Ghent is once again hosting a riveting Lotto Six Days of Flanders-Ghent. Three world champions will show off their rainbow jerseys to the audience during the 101st annual cycling spectacle: Lotte Kopecky, Jan-Willem van Schip and Yoeri Havik. Only a few hundred tickets are still available.

Last year’s anniversary edition of the Lotto Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent was finger-licking good. Besides the sports spectacle, the hundredth edition was graced with an impressive farewell to Iljo Keisse, the Emperor of the Ghent Kuipke.

This year too, the Lotto Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Ghent promises to be a great cycling spectacle. For example, Dutchmen Jan-Willem van Schip and Yoeri Havik will once again attend. Last summer, Van Schip and Havik took gold in the team pursuit at the Track Cycling World Championships in Glasgow. For now, this is a highlight in their already very successful track career. In 2021, the top Dutch duo was already good for the European title. In the points race, Van Schip (2019) and Havik (2022) already have a rainbow jersey each in their closet too.

Another rainbow jersey that will soon shine at the Ghent Kuipke is that of Lotte Kopecky. After a long and impressive year on the road and the track, the leading lady of Belgian cycling is continuing her sensational season. The Road World Champion and winner of the Tour of Flanders and a stage and the green jersey in the Tour de France Femmes will be in action in Ghent on Friday and Saturday. The women’s programme will include an elimination race and a points race, the two events in which Kopecky grabbed the World title at the Track Cycling World Championships in Glasgow.

Race director Christophe Sercu is over the moon with Kopecky’s attendance. “The fact we can still bring Lotte to the Lotto Six Days after a long and gruelling season is fantastic news. For us, but also for Belgian cycling fans. It is a proof of the importance Lotte herself attaches to her career on the track and the Lotto Six Days in particular. The atmospheric Kuipke will undoubtedly treat the pride of Belgian cycling to a particularly warm reception.”

Anyone wishing to attend the Lotto Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent from 14 to 19 November should book a ticket as soon as possible. There are still a few hundred tickets available: there are still seats on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the only tickets left for the other days are centre square tickets.
