Mark Cavendish will return to the track on Wednesday night to team up with Iljo Keisse at the Lotto Six Days of Flanders-Ghent. Moreno De Pauw will form a tandem with Jonas Rickaert on the second night of action in Het Kuipke.
Cavendish crashed during the one-lap time-trial on the opening night and withdrew for the remainder of Tuesday night. Tonight Cav is back in action alongside his partner Iljo Keisse.
Moreno De Pauw and Jonas Rickaert will form a new duo. On Tuesday De Pauw raced alongside Gerben Thijssen, who was transferred to hospital after a heavy crash in Tuesday’s supersprint. Rickaert was supposed to partner Roy Pieters, but the Dutchman had to withdraw from the event due to illness.
Oliver Wulff Frederiksen, who was involved in Thijssen’s accident, has sufficiently recovered from his injuries to return to the fray. The Dane partners France’s Morgan Kneisky.
