- The meeting of the UCI/Belgian Cycling commissaires with the racers and organisers will take place on Tuesday 15th of November 2022 at 15:00 in the cafeteria at ’t Kuipke velodrome in Ghent.
- The Lotto Flanders-Ghent Six-Day race for elite riders is contested by teams of two riders, who must wear jerseys in accordance with Article 1.3.044 (UCI Rules) and with the same riders’ number. These jerseys will be made available by the organizers on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022.
- This Lotto Flanders-Ghent Six-Day race is being ridden on a cycling track of 166.66 metres in length.
- The number of participating teams is determined by the organiser, based on the length of the track, up to a maximum of 12 teams.
- At the start of each Madison all teams on the scoreboard will start from nought. At the end of each Madison the overall positions at that stage will be displayed on the scoreboard. On the last day, during the final, the overall positions in the six-day event will be displayed continuously on the scoreboard.
- If there is a mechanical defect that is recognised by the commissaires or if a rider falls, the team involved will be entitled to a neutralisation of 1.5 km, this being the number of laps closest to this distance. In this case, that will be 8 laps. If the mechanical defect is not recognised by the commissaires and also at the end of a neutralisation period, one of the riders from the team involved must contest the race completely from the position reached at the time of the incident. Failure to do so will result in penalisation by the number of laps lost.
- The laps won by a team in which one of the riders is neutralised will only be awarded if the rider that stayed in the race has ridden the full distance, i.e. if he has not missed a single relay.
- Where the Madison is ridden over a certain length of time, any team that is reduced to a single rider must leave the race ten laps from the end.
- The race leader is entitled, in consultation with the commissaires, to form a provisional team with riders whose partner has been neutralised. This provisional team must ride with the same jersey and riders’ number. To determine the position of a provisional team, the laps of the two original teams will be counted up, rounded down to an even number if necessary, and then divided by two.
If a provisional team is dropped, the points won will be offset in the general ranking, in favour of the original teams. - If a rider is neutralised, his team-mate must contest the ongoing Madison in accordance with Articles 3.2.235 and 3.2.236 of the UCI Rules. If the neutralised rider is not able to rejoin the next Madison, the whole team is neutralised. After the Madison, the neutralised team is placed at the same level as its closest rival at the point that the Madison began, including the number of laps lost by this latter team during the last Madison. Laps won will not be counted. In addition, the neutralised team will have a lap deducted.
- The race doctor may neutralise a rider for a maximum of 36 hours. Afterwards, the rider in question will be taken out of the race.
- If a rider quits the race, the team will be removed. The remaining rider will take place in the individual events. If he is not included in a newly formed team within 48 hours, he must leave the race.
- If a new team is formed, its position in the race will be determined by the best-placed eliminated team, plus a penalty lap. The points gained by the two eliminated teams will be added up and divided by two.
- Points awarded:
- Time trial (166 m.) 10-6-5-4-3-2
- Team Elimination 20-12-10-8-6-4

- Madison 20-12-10-8-6-4
- Super sprint 10-6-5-4-3-2
- Derny (heats + final) 5-4-3-2-1

- Scratch 10-6-5-4-3-2
- For each tranche of 100 points, a bonus lap is awarded. This is applicable up to the start of the final Madison.
- During the last fifty laps of the final Madison, a ranking sprint is contested every ten laps for 10, 6, 4 and 2 points.
- All laps won or lost will be immediately offset in the general ranking. In the elimination (individual or by team), points race, super sprint, scratch, time trials and derny races no laps can be won or lost for the general ranking.
- Every day, in addition to a daily ranking, overall positions showing the number of laps won and points gained will also be prepared.
- The number of laps covered determines the final result. The points total determines where the teams that finish in the same lap are placed. If there are an equal number of laps and points, the placings in the last sprint of the final will determine the winner.
- These Rules can only be amended by the Board of Commissaires following a proposal from, and in consultation with, the organisation.
- By taking part in the Lotto Flanders-Ghent Six-Day 2022 riders and their coaches acknowledge that they have taken note of these Rules and that they accept them in full.
