Iljo Keisse will put an end to his career as a professional cyclist at the Lotto Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent. The 39-year-old from Ghent will of course be honoured on the final day, but the real farewell party for the Emperor of ‘t Kuipke ‘Merci Iljooo’ will follow four days later.
On Thursday 24 November, Keisse will celebrate his farewell together with family, friends and (former) colleagues, but also and especially with all his fans. ‘Merci Iljooo’ will be a full evening show with music, entertainment, footage from the old days, special guests and a spectacular sports omnium in which Team Belgium will take on Team International.
Iljo Keisse himself is of course the leader of Team Belgium. Team International will be spearheaded by World Hour Record Holder Filippo Ganna. The evening will conclude with a spectacular afterparty.
